CEDO products are designed to withstand the NORDIC climate. Imagine how it
will perform in your CLIMATE?
CEDO INC. is a pioneer in the field of manufacturing garage door hardware since 1950.
The constant requests from customers for a steel garage door insulated with
polystyrene push CEDO in manufacturing this type of door as of 1987, the
CEDOTHERM SERIES C 3000.
As with any garage door, no matter how good its insulation is, its energetic efficiency
also relies on its sectional joint's insulation. As a solution, Cedomatec's President,
Mr. Pierre A. Juneau, conceives and patents a new type of male/female joint, exclusive to
CEDO, with thermal breaks in three distinct areas to prevent any infiltration and guarantee maximum waterproofness.
In 1990, with home renovation booming, the need for a garage door with superior insulation
becomes pressing. To fulfil this need, CEDO develops two new models of garage door, the
PROGRESSIVE SERIES C 5000 in
galvanized steel and the F-1 SERIES C 7000 in aluminum,
both models with polyurethane insulation, these two doors allowing CEDO to bring
the highest insulation R-factor on the market.
CEDO creates an automatic polyurethane without CFC11 lay-down system controlled by computer,
in order to have a more uniform insulation, instead of using the common technique of high
pressure polyurethane injection, which may occasionally cause disturbance in the polyurethane,
weak the panel's structural rigidity and lowers its insulation factor.
In 1997, the demands of European and American markets force CEDO into finding a new plant to
satisfy its ever-increasing need for space and to make room for new equipment required
to meet global expansion towards these international markets. Cedomatec moves to Repentigny,
a Montreal suburb, in a much larger plant of 180,000 sq.ft. (16722 m.2), more adequately
designed, with new equipment adapted to the needs of the targeted markets.
In 2002, Cedomatec always listening to his clientele's inquiry have launched
a new design for residential garage door, DURA Series.
The vision of a leader, Mr. Pierre A. Juneau, founder and president of Cedomatec inc., surrounded
by dynamic team members, has created a niche for CEDO into the new global market.
